Not Patriotic at all!!
I was disappointed in the lack of patriotism displayed at this event. Despite the flag positioned on the stage and attendees dressed in red, white, and blue, the celebration of the 4th of July was not evident. Jamey Johnson was the sole performer who sang a patriotic song, "This Land is Your Land," which was truly moving.
The absence of acknowledgment for our servicemen and women safeguarding our nation was noticeable. Regardless of one's political beliefs, it is essential to recognize the greatness of our country and exhibit pride, which was lacking at this gathering. The omission of our national anthems by the bands was also disappointing.
While the music and performances were enjoyable, there was a missed opportunity to honor the reasons behind our freedom and express gratitude.
